Client Challenge
Small and remote municipalities often struggle to maintain consistent water and wastewater staffing due to staffing gaps caused by vacations, holidays, extended leave, staff shortages, or vacant positions. Small or remote communities may not have enough internal capacity to meet regulatory requirements, respond to emergencies, or maintain routine operations. These challenges can lead to compliance risks, burnout among existing staff, and increased reliance on costly short-term solutions.

Featured Project
Aureus was engaged by a client to provide operational mentorship for a new water treatment system. While there were adequate operational resources, the staff had not been provided with adequate training or resources (O&M manual, SCADA manual, etc.) and were struggling to maintain quality. Our certified operator provided consistent on-site support and guided the operational staff and management on process troubleshooting and optimization. The engagement helped the client avoid service disruptions, maintain compliance, optimize the equipment and treatment processes, update the plant SOPs, build trust in the water quality, and ultimately improve the understanding and confidence of the operational staff.
