Join our Roster of Qualified Technicians

Number of Positions Available: Multiple

Location: Various (Canada)

Description:

Aureus Solutions is seeking qualified professionals to join our growing and dynamic team in various water and wastewater roles, including 1.Sampling Technicians, 2.Certified Operators, and 3.Service Technicians. These positions offer flexible, part-time, and contract-based work, making them ideal for individuals seeking supplemental income or a balanced work schedule.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement available), and be eligible for security clearance, including a background check.

Work Schedule (multiple roles may be available for a single person depending on flexibility and regional needs):

  1. Sampling Technicians: Project-based, typically 1-10 assignments per year, each lasting approximately three hours per assignment

  2. Certified Operators: Variable and flexible, averaging 8-30 hours per week, depending on your availability and the position needs

  3. Service Technicians: Project-based, typically 5-15 assignments per year, each lasting approximately four hours per assignment

Responsibilities (may vary based on position):

  • Schedule and complete assignments as requested, with reasonable response time.

  • Follow established procedures and document work accurately.

  • Maintain professional communication with site staff.

  • Perform daily operations and maintenance of non-municipal treatment systems per regulatory requirements

  • Monitor, document, and report on system performance

  • Conduct routine cleaning, inspections, and basic repairs on equipment

  • Identify and troubleshoot operational issues

  • Coordinate and oversee waste contractors as needed

  • Perform basic maintenance on instrumentation, pumps, and system components

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in water/wastewater treatment, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation (asset)

  • Provincial water/wastewater license (asset)

  • Fieldwork experience in water/wastewater industry (preferred)

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to adapt to other software

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement available for fieldwork)

  • Ability to lift over 20-30 kgs as required

  • Must be eligible for security clearance, including a background check

Work Location:

  • In-person assignments at various locations across Canada

  • Travel may be required depending on project needs
