Featured Project

Aureus supported a federally operated facility serving Indigenous peoples in Western Canada by conducting an independent operability review of a design engineer’s options analysis for a new drinking water treatment system. The facility needed a second opinion on the proposed treatment technologies and their suitability for long-term operation and maintenance, given the sites challenges with limited staffing. Aureus reviewed all design documents, assessed the feasibility and operational implications of each option, and provided detailed feedback to ensure the proposed solutions aligned with operator capacity, site culture, site conditions, and future maintenance realities. Our support helped the client advocate for a treatment system that was not only compliant but also practical, sustainable, cost-effective and tailored to the long-term success of the site.

  • The main objective was to provide an independent operability review of a design engineer’s options analysis for a new drinking water treatment system at a federally operated facility.

  • The facility required a second opinion on proposed treatment technologies to ensure they were practical for long-term operation and maintenance, particularly given limited staffing capacity.

  • Aureus reviewed design documents, evaluated the feasibility and operational implications of each option, and provided detailed feedback to align solutions with operator capacity, site culture, site conditions, and maintenance realities.

  • The review gave the client clarity and confidence in assessing treatment options, ensuring the chosen solution was both compliant and operationally realistic.

  • Aureus helped the client advocate for a sustainable, cost-effective, and tailored treatment system that supports the long-term success and reliability of the facility.
